This ability is very critical in the beginning of the game and there was nothing about it in the tutorial. ![]() Tutorial not emphasising on captain ability. It took me around 15 - 20 minutes to get fully through the tutorial and once u get into the maingame then this is over. It didnt make me shy away from the game but it is an annoying way of running it. Nonetheless heres my comments both negative and positive. Its not perfect but I was very surprised about how well it plays. Here the RPG feeling is much more present.Ĭan't wait to get my hand on the full game.Ĭame across this game randomly and got really interested when i saw that it was pretty much like FTL but with more mechanics. It also looks like the quest aspect is much more present, in a typical FTL game you'll get a few quests here and there. I prefer this one right now because I always wanted to do that when playing FTL, but I wouldn't say it's better, we can't really compare, it's just different, you can go back to FTL when you want to rush and to this one when you feel like exploring more. It allows you to explore more I think and take your time, having much more freedom instead of rushing to the end. I don't know how it'll be in the future, but from what I saw in the demo, it looks like you have a kind of bounty getting higher and higher, which attracts more powerful enemies as it goes up (increasing difficulty gradually). It has mostly the same "battle" gameplay than FTL (which is far from realistic but very very enjoyable).įor the differences: there is no "rebel fleet" tracking you, so you're not in a hurry to leave a system.
